As far as the Nikon Z 24-70 mm f/4 is concerned, you will feel the switch to the Nikon Z series in your wallet (which stays more filled) and your photo bag (which will be emptier and lighter). De Nikon Z24-70mm f/4 is wat lichtsterkte betreft niet het vlaggenschip van de Nikon zooms, maar het is wel degelijk een niet mis te verstaan visitekaartje van het Nikon Z systeem. Door een slimme combinatie van in-camera lenscorrecties en een nieuw, modern lensontwerp specifiek voor een spiegelloze systeemcamera, heeft Nikon een full-frame objectief gemaakt met een heel hoge beeldkwaliteit dat niet al te duur is, compact en licht. Afgezien van de bokeh bij volle opening, doet de Nikon Z24-70mm f/4 op een Z7 niet onder voor de aanmerkelijk duurdere Nikon Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR, die we hebben getest op een Nikon D810. Zeker omdat de de Nikon Z camera’s zijn voorzien van ingebouwde beeldstabilisatie – en omdat de signaal/ruis verhouding van Nikon full-frame sensoren ook erg goed is bij hogere ISO warden, zal je de f/2.8 niet gauw missen. Wat de Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 betreft, zal je de overstap naar de Nikon Z serie voelen aan je portemonnee (die blijft meer gevuld) en aan je fototas (die wordt leger en lichter). Kortom: Een universeel reisobjectief om vrolijk van te worden.
